I first learned Fahrenheit, then Celsius came to Australia (along with other metric units) in the early 70s. I have been to the US twice (many years ago), though not to Arizona. I intend to make another visit in the not-too-distant future, to check out CI (with whom I am now fully signed up) and Alcor. I will also try to visit Mayer. I first heard of Arizona in Donald Duck/Mickey Mouse comics, which I read avidly as a small boy, so I knew that it was a desert state (although I thought it was 'Arizonia').
