Subject: Re: Unperson's religious approach to cryonics

But WE try at least to be both honest and rational and not make promises we
cannot back up. We point out that cryonics is a rational idea which seems

possible but which may not work, at least may not work in the way we are
currently
doing it. We could guarantee that cryonics would work; but few of us would
want to be members of an organization that did so.

LOTS of shady people outside of religion make millions for making promises
they have no intention of delivering on. Many people make lots of money by

believing in their own promises but never being required to deliver on them
(like
religion).

Yes, we could act like a religion and pull in the bucks; but my friends in
cryonics and I would vomit and leave.

Besides, the Christians *have* their person they say was revived from a
death-like state. They got a lot of mileage out of that one.

We don't even have ONE. It's pretty weak marketing material.
