X-Message-Number: 29229 From: Kennita Watson <> Subject: Plans Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2007 21:39:18 -0800 (Ever notice how some people say "Future Plans"? Somehow, planning the past seems futile....) Thanks to a number of generous contributors, I've collected $355. Taking out the $80 needed to make up the $120 press release fee for PRWeb left $275 to use on other projects. I didn't have a banner to display above my table, and was going to make a throwaway paper one, but with some of the extra money I decided to buy a simple vinyl Go Cryo! banner that can be used multiple times. 2'x4', hemmed, grommetted, $41.45 including shipping and tax. If you find a better price, let me know! Since the Frozen Dead Guy Days won't be an issue for another eleven months or so, I'm expecting to use the remaining $235 (keep the change ;-) ) to pay for booth space at one or two likely local festivals/conferences in the meantime. I'll be casting about for low-cost, high-impact venues. Frozen Dead Guy Days has the advantage of being instant news just because it's unusual, and that I get free display space and time because I work the convention. I thought I had a chance to get on TV, but it would have cost too much. Living In Style, http://www.eastshoreproductions.com/ , was willing to sell me a 60-90 second scripted spot on their health and wellness show, in a "new possibilities" slot, for $5900. If it had been an interview, I might have expected to be edited to oblivion, but scripted.... I dream of the day when Go Cryo! may have that kind of money to spend. I may not want to spend it there, but for the moment I'm happy I was offered space on a health and fitness show rather than on "news of the weird". Live long and prosper, Kennita Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=29229
