It is very important for the organ cryopreservation to obtain the full recovery of the organs after their cryopreservation for successful transplantation. The ice blockers can decrease effective concentration of a vitrification mixture by 3-5%. My experiments with the 21CM blockers showed that the blockers can decrease effective concentration of CI-VM-1 by around 3%, and therethrough they can increase survival of rat hippocampal slices by around 3% only. It is very important just for the organ cryopreservation, but it is not so important for cryonics. There are many more harmful factors for cryonics patients than insignificant increasing toxicity due to a 3% increase in concentration of vitrification mixtures. I do not even take into account the permeation of the blockers through the blood brain barrier and cell membranes. To get the same effect, we can use 3% of CI-VM-1 instead of 3% of the ice blockers. It is much cheaper for CI to use additional 3% of cheap CI-VM-1 instead of 3% of the expansive ice blockers. It is should be noted that today cryonics in contrast to modern cryobiology should not wait for a completely perfect cryopreservation method because legal dead patients already have defects of human nature that resulted in their deanimation and all after-effects should be cured of future medical technologies. Cryonics is very different from today cryobiology and medicine because it relies on just a future perfect technology but not on today imperfect cryobiology and medicine that can use only natural, spontaneous resources of biological systems to recover them from various injuries.
