RE: Alcor & Patients in the Hot Seat, Revisited

I might be assuming more about the thoughts of list members here than
warranted, but perhaps the reason is because most people have grown
numb to alarmist calls of environmental armageddon?

A lot of energy already goes into maintaining a cryonics facility in
the first place. A few extra dollars to cool and water a facility
probably won't resonate much over the next few decades, especially if
membership growth continues to stagnate. Moving a facility and its
patients would be much more expensive and risky than just footing a
higher AC bill.

As a friend recently said, "is it just me or does Al Gore seem to be
saying 'we're all gonna die unless we kill ourselves'?"

the article, that contains what seems to me to be extraordinary and
scientific information about the forthcoming changes to our planet's
climate, which changes make it inadvisable for a cryonics organization
to try to continue to do business in the Southwest USA. As is often
the way of Cryonet, no one even commented on it here. I'm sure this
is due to a variety of reasons, but for those who have merely been
reticent, and wish to view discussion on the subject and maybe even
participate, I recommend looking at the following:}}
