To me this suggests an exciting line of research.  Maybe a
kind of helmet could be designed that generates an
electrostatic field in order to improve on the factor of 2
per 10 degrees C slowdown in degradation that we get at
temperatures between body temperature and freezing before
and during a cryonics stabilization, without using a
refrigerator.

Incidentally, would putting a living person in such a
field kill or injure them?
