Subject: Keith Henson and the 'S' Religion

While it is true that cryonics has little or nothing to do with the S people one
way or the other, some of us *are* interested in an occasional update on a
fellow cryonicist's quest. He hasn't abused the forum, by posting every day, or
every week, or even every month, on it. So kill the hair trigger, John, or
we'll boycott your radio station (grin).

Anyone wanting to learn the background should read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Henson

One thing the article doesn't seem to mention is that he was also on Alcor's
board of directors for a while. Also there is the obvious and in some ways
regrettable fact that cryonics lost the focus of an energetic mind to a
different battle, and one he is far from winning.

Some of the much older CryoNet posts will also provide some information on his
early involvement with cryonics.

Also, there are a lot of reasons it is preferable that his activities re: the S
group do not become associated with the cryonics community and its activities,
even if it would merely become a thing in the public mind. That group can be a
formidable enemy, and cryonics organizations do not need that kind of activity.
I'm sure KH is well aware of and sensitive to such concerns, and will continue
to do his best to ensure they do not become a problem.

Some applaud what he is doing, some don't. So do your own research on the S
group and decide for yourself. Of course this forum is not the place to discuss
it. That one is mentioned in the Wikipedia article referenced above.
