I've noticed that almost all the documented supercentenarians grew up and 
lived most or all of their lives dirt poor (even in developed countries a 
century ago, most people had little choice in the matter). They certainly 
didn't make it to at least 110 years of age by downing bowls of vitamin and 
supplement pills every day, despite what the current crop of "life 
extension" quacks advocate. Their poverty also pretty much rules out 
healthcare consumption as a factor.

Caloric restriction may have accounted for part of their longevity, but 
because they literally lacked the income to buy all the food they wanted, 
not because they chose that sort of diet voluntarily.
