I strongly agree. It doesn't take too much effort to cut and paste the url
from the web browser into the text of an email.

A good suggestion.

However I feel that the problems of how society is run impact on more than
just the running of cryonics organisations. Future progress, upon which the
concept of cryonics depends, is being noticeably slowed down. In this week's
New Scientist

it says

For the second time, President Bush has vetoed legislation that would have

(ESCs).

In a capitalist society organisations, professions, call them what you will,
can arrange their business as to maximise the income of their members. If
they are selling something that adds to the general wealth, eg by
introducing a new product to the marketplace, that adds to progress. But if
they can take money out of the economy and create nothing of value, then
that slows progress.

However there is a little good news. In the recent regime change that has
occurred in the UK, Mr Jack Straw has been appointed "Minister for Justice"
which oversees the administration of law and order. When Mr Straw was
appointed "Home Secretary" (similar function plus immigration control and
management of terrorist threats) in a previous regime, one of the things he
said he wanted to deal with was the charges made by law firms. Maybe he has
given up on this, maybe not. I hope he will have another go. It is
interesting to note that in Communist Russia lawyers charged no more for
their time than other workers.
