Let cryonics just grow as it does now. I don't understand the argument anyway. Religions generally promise some sort of afterlife to their adherents. Surely, if you believe in a religious afterlife, cryonics would be of little appeal. The life you are promised by your religion would surely be better than the one you would live on earth after revival from cryonic suspension.
