X-Message-Number: 29720 From: "Melody Maxim" <> Subject: Calling John Bull Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2007 12:16:17 -0400 Mr. Bull, many people have been asking about you on the "Cold Filter" cryonics forum. They would like to know what you think of the recent SA case. They became interested in you because of your post on Cryonet, which was mentioned here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/291677/message/1186449205/You+might+ask+this+fellow- I think most people want to know what you think of SA sending two metal fabricators and a secretary, (none of whom had cryonics, or medical, experience), to do their most recent case. In addition, I would like to know if you based your decision to sign up with SA on the following information they posted on the CI website: http://www.cryonics.org/SA/SA_CI_Announcement.html "Suspended Animation, located in south Florida, is pursuing research and development to enhance standby procedures. Our assistance for participating members of CI WILL INCLUDE: PARAMEDICS AND OTHER TRAINED PERSONNEL who will travel to the bedside. Medications, provided under contract with Critical Care Research, to mitigate ischemic injury Mechanical cardiopulmonary support and ventilation via a custom-designed Michigan Instruments Thumper. Rapid cooling in a newly modified portable ice bath. VASCULAR ACCESS BY A SURGEON followed by washout with a transport solution" (Note that they did not send even ONE paramedic, nor a surgeon, to their case.) In regard to your remarks about being "impressed by their facility," perhaps you shouldn't be too willing to "judge a book by its cover," and as for the hiring of the PhD you were equally impressed with, Platt had him fired five months later. (He made the same mistake I did, he didn't want to do everything Platt's way.) I know I lot of people would be happy to hear your opinions, if you would care to contribute.
