X-Message-Number: 2975 Date: Wed, 10 Aug 94 20:29:41 EDT From: Subject: CRYONICS I agree with the comments that attempting to absorb life insurance into cryonics isn't a good idea at anything like cryonics's current scale. On another is-it-a-good-combination topic: Would founding a cryonics-friendly hospice make sense? I have no idea of the scale of investment involved. Is it more like a medical center or more like a bed-and-breakfast in scale? Would having such a hospice adjoining the cryonics facility itself give us a better shot at avoiding ischemic injury, or is the limiting factor more commonly getting someone to pronounce death?
