LOL! Stodolsky probably deserved the heat - after all, he does seem to think that everything has to have a reference, even if the reference doesn't have any reference. An ant all by itself does not exist; it must have other ants to back it up, and so many more to back them up that you can never possibly find the end to the ants, nor indeed in many cases the assumptions on which they are based, howbeit in many cases faulty. But why am I ranting on that; Stodolsky just deletes my posts without reading -- a fine example of rational and objective thinking. And don't think you can get away with having second thoughts about your flame post, Rudi, and deleting it from the queue. I have it archived! And wow. Stodolsky must have declined to buy your insurance? Now to Mr. Hoffman and his Poll. For those who may vote in it, I ask how long has it been, if ever, Rudi, that you recommended to a younger and healthy person to buy a nice affordable term life insurance policy for under $20/month, directly from one of the large, reputable companies with no middleman, instead of the whole life policy costing 10 to 20 times as much and including a nice commission to the middleman? And of course, to invest the difference over the years at a decent rate of return, thereby making the younger person a multimillionaire at retirement and then able to pay for any cryonics service in cash when the term life runs out, rather than the less than 4% typically associated with any life insurance policy and many of which actually have a negative return considering the future value of money? Now I'm sure I'll get to archive yet another choice flame authored by our resident insurance salesman, probably along the lines of how great the capitalist system is in the USA and his birthright to make money off of cryonicists and anybody else he can sell to, whether it is a product they really need or not. I await this dissertation with open eyes. Be sure it is properly footnoted so that DSS will read it. Footnote: LOL! -- We've Got Your Name at http://www.mail.com !
