I am a little surprised that this has not already happened. <<< The reason may well be that there is no suggestion in any scriptures that preservation of dead people is against the will of God. Indeed, anyone seeking guidance from the scriptures is likely to note that many religious founders had the "gift of healing", and indeed Christ healed the sick, restored people given up for dead, and told his followers to do the same. One religious fundamentalst on sci.cryonics some years ago said something to effect that it was his duty to have his kept body in the best possible condition so that Jesus had less work to do on the Last Day. Also many scriptures tell people that God will only help them if they help themselves. This lead the 19th century Christian philosopher NF Ferdorov to conclude that it is mankind's ultimate duty to raise all its dead using science. http://www.venturist.org/fyodorov.htm -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more Content-Type: text/html; [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=29815
