Somewhere there is a more extensive posting, but re a cryonics
organization operating an insurance company, such a business could be
profitable indeed. The best way I can see for it to work would be for
the PCF to own the insurance company. When a patient went into
suspension, the money which goes into the PCF would be used to buy
stock in the insurance company. On average (whole body and neuro)
this is about half of the funding. Insurance companies have very
similar investment goals to that of a PCF, so there should be little
conflict, and the PCF could benefit by using the same fund managers.

Re British Columbia's anti-cryonics law . . . My wife owned property
up there, and we visited on vacations. I have correspondence with the
RCMP where I described an invitation to talk about cryonics to a major
SF con which was being held in BC. They finally advised me not to
come, since even talking about cryonics would be a violation of the
law. Since then my wife sold the property. Though it is a nice place
to vacation, I certainly would not advise any cryonicist to ever go
there, since, if you need it, the RCMP will prevent your being
suspended if they can.

Ben, you might mention that the law has cost BC's tourist industry
a few thousand dollars already.
