The phenomenon of an empty digest being sent, that references messages
that exist, is due to all of the messages that day being from one of the
handful of persons whose postings are excluded from the digest.  They are
in the archives, though.  A shortcut to the ones Steve mentioned is:

http://www.cryonet.org/0001298.html  and scroll to the bottom.

Perhaps Kevin would fix the digester so that it does not send out email
if all the messages are excluded, if it is not too much trouble to do?
