Subject: ALCOR-- board-- membership voting-- publishing

It seems to me that Alcor "members' or whatever you
want to call us-- are not even sufficiently publishing
and discussing issues online-- let alone being
interested in voting. In my opinion, open discussion
precedes voting rights.

Short of discussion, Network54 forums has a facility
for straw votes that works pretty good so a type of
voting could theoretically take place among Alcor
members on selected defined issues. This type of
voting wouldn't have a LOT of power-- of course--
however it would be a start in terms of creating a
feedback system with a bit more punch than
free-for-all arguing in an online forum.

Here's an example of a polling system that obviously
isn't going to be perfect-- but I think we should
consider tools like this.
