Extending the Human Life Span: Assessing Pro- and Anti-Longevity Attitudes Thanks for providing this summary, David. This is quite interesting. And, relevant to societal attitudes towards cryonics as well as life extension. The "take home" story to me seems to be that the life extension community, as well as the cryonics community, needs to emphasize the positive elements of folks living longer, healthier lives. Against the inertia of centuries of the concept "old equals decrepit", we must do some heavy lifting with a more appropriate paradigm, "maturity and longevity provide vision, depth and breadth of experience come with time, people living longer, healthier lives will benefit humanity in countless ways." In your own life, do you find yourself more effective than you were 10 or 30 years ago? In the knowledge work age, physical strength is less important than wisdom, experience, networking, relationships, and...well, knowledge. And with continued research our HEALTHSPAN, not just our LIFESPAN, will continue to increase. Thanks for the information and insights regarding this study, David. :) Rudi Rudi Richard Hoffman CFP CLU ChFC Board Member Financial Planning Association fpafla.com Board Member Salvation Army salvationarmy.org Member Alcor Life Extension Foundation alcor.org Certified Financial Planner(TM) CFP Board of Standards Member Libertarian Party libertarianparty.org Member National Rifle Association nra.org Member World Transhumanist Association http://transhumanism.org/ World's Leading Cryonics Insurance Provider rudihoffman.com **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros.
