X-Message-Number: 30897 From: "Chris Manning" <> References: <> Subject: Re: the O'Rights appeal Date: Wed, 30 Jul 2008 12:59:31 +1000 I sent an email to David Pizer's bank (the M & I Bank) asking whether they can accept a personal check (cheque) from Australia. To my great surprise their answer is 'Yes'. I will cut and paste their email below: Dear Chris, Thank you for contacting M&I Bank today. Please know that our customer is able to deposit a check that is drawn off of an Australian financial institution. We have confirmed with our Foreign Exchange department that there are no fees for processing the conversion. I hope that this information is helpful. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to assist you with this matter today. If you have any additional questions, you may e-mail M&I Direct at Alternately, feel free to contact M&I Direct toll-free at 1-888-464-5463, 24 hours a day. We hope you found the information helpful. Sincerely, Jim Johnson M&I Direct [A statement of their privacy policy followed.] Of course I was only asking about cheques from Australia so donors in other countries may need to make their own inquiry. I will send off a cheque today. > Message #30885 > Date: Wed, 23 Jul 2008 22:55:13 -0700 (PDT) > From: david pizer <> > Subject: update on the fund raising > > Hi Cryofriends > > So far we have collected $2,000 for William O'Rights' suspension costs. > We have a ways to go.
