For my most recent trip I chose the novel LONG LIFE? by Robert Begam: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0977986314/ Hello, Ben and Cryoneters... Thanks for the review and notification of above novel, Ben Best. I have gone to Amazon and ordered it. I will post my observations on the book here on Cryonet and also on Amazon once I have read Begam's book. We need a large body of cryonics themed literature establishing this meme in a positive light in popular culture. "The First Immortal" by James Halperin remains at the top of this short list. I am sorry that Begam's book, per your review, gave the misimpression that cryonics is only for the wealthy. I hope my own book, "The Affordable Immortal: The Emerging Science of Biostasis and You" will correct this widely held and potentially very negative public misperception. I will have more to say on Cryonet on a later post regarding this book, which I believe is a reasonably good piece of memetic engineering. We should not underestimate the possibility of populist demogogues railing against the morality of cryonics, and this possibility is more likely if the public views cryonics exclusively as the bailiwick of the very wealthy.
