Hi Cryofriends

I am trying to craft a message to the general public to promote cryonics in
general. Here is a very rough, first draft. I am stuck for ideas to try to
find words that might get the general public into thinking about why cryonics is
the moral thing to do - and why it might be wrong NOT to do it. Any
suggestions, please email me at

Thanks,

David

JOIN THE VENTURISTS

The Society for Venturism is an organization of like-minded people who generally
believe that it may be possible to conquer death thorough technological means
some day and that it is worth trying to do.

Some people believe that life is a gift from God or a higher power, others
believe that life is an accident, a chance happening that no mind planned.
Either way a person believes that life happened, there is a moral imperative to
preserve that life. So Venturists who are trying to preserve and extend their
lives through heroic means are the humans who hold the moral high ground -- no
matter how life got started.

If life is a chance happening the odds of the material that makes up your body
and brain coming together, evolving as it did, must be billions to one. There
has to be all the right conditions for life to have sparked into existence from
mindless matter to what is a human brain in a human body that transports and
protects that brain.

If life is a gift from God, what a wonderful gift it is. If this is how our
lives were created then if we value that life and the Being who gave it to us,
then we must be obligated to show our appreciation. Action speaks louder then
words - so philosophers and traditional religious leaders can speak lofty
phrases saying how much they appreciate the gift and Giver, but then they just
let the gift of life turn to dust, are not showing their appreciation near as
much as a cryoncists who takes action to protect that gift. Those who protect
the gift of life by trying to preserve it, by this act alone, are showing the
Giver just how much they appreciate the gift.

Either way you think that you came into existence, the proper thing to do is to
try to stay alive and preserve and honor your existence. The only way to do
that at present is to make arrangements to have your body frozen, or preserved
as best possible, at legal death while most of the cells in your body are still
alive, and wait for science to create ways to reverse aging and disease, and
when they do have them unfreeze your body and reanimate you back into perfect
health. Then continue to live on, while taking steps to further preserve and
extend your life, virtually forever if it becomes possible.

If you believe that life is worth enough that it is worth taking steps to try to
preserve, extend and improve on it, then join with us in your venture to the
future.
