Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2008 13:03:36 -0000 Whereas I have always had concerns with regards to organisations competing with the cryonics service providers for funding, they do give a degree of "democracy-with-the-currency" in cryonics. I can vouch for The Cryonics Society as being an honest and "above board" organisation. Its purpose is to collect funding for, and provide, good quality cryonics education through the public news media. Chrissie has met one of its leaders and thinks highly of him, and would vouch for him being highly articulate. He would not send out a badly written message of any sort. It is, of course, possible that some misguided person has used spamming techniques to promote The Cryonics Society without its knowledge or consent. I got the same email as Mr Lynch and it displayed correctly on my machine. Incidentally there is a link whereby one can read it as a web document. http://www.cryonicssociety.org/cs_enewsletter_1108.html -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more <del> From: "Keith F. Lynch" <> Subject: Who or what is "the Cryonics Society"? Date: Sun, 30 Nov 2008 23:49:14 -0500 (EST) I just got an immense, badly formatted email "newsletter" claiming to be from "the Cryonics Society" (with no adjectives), <del> Is this a spammer? It sure doesn't look or smell like a legitimate or a competent organization. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=31214
