I am sorry to read this news. Marta seems to have no end of bad luck.

Just to clarify something, Marta lives in Western Australia (WA) which I 
assume is also where her farm is. The devastating bushfires (forest fires) 
that you would have seen on the news were here in Victoria (2,000 miles from 
WA).

I live in a semi-rural area just east of Melbourne. Some of the fires were 
only a few miles from here, but I have not been affected by them.
