X-Message-Number: 31398 From: Mark Plus <> Subject: Simon Cowell Date: Sun, 22 Feb 2009 07:08:10 -0800 I don't watch much television, but I know about some shows like "American Idol" because of all the publicity they get, whether they deserve it or not. So I recognized the name Simon Cowell. The Daily Mail article quotes Cowell as saying, 'I have decided to freeze myself when I die. You know, cryonics. You pay a lot of money and you get stuck in a deep freeze once you've been declared dead.' It doesn't state for a fact that Cowell, who apparently has a reputation for saying outrageous things to establish his high celebrity status and draw attention to his reproductive fitness, has followed through on his decision. Though if Cowell starts showing reporters his medic alert bracelet issued by a cryonics organization, then I'll take his claim seriously. "Around 2010 the world will be at a new orbit in history. . . Life expectancy will be indefinite. Disease and disability will nonexist. Death will be rare and accidental -- but not permanent. We will continuously jettison our obsolescence and grow younger."
