Re Brian Wowk and his story of involvement with the transport of patient
#A-1324, it is an instructive story because it was so obviously handled
correctly. Brian, please do not confuse me with Dave Pizer. Just two days
ago, I wrote in response to a risk analysis of Charles Platt's that I was
essentially in agreement with. Those scenarios broadly speaking could
easily include the story that Brian has told. But, that's not what I was
talking about.

Brian, did you administer transport medications to that patient before she
had been pronounced legally dead by hospital personnel? You mentioned that
the actions you took began immediately after cardiac arrest; did you arrange
that cardiac arrest to suit your own convenience? If the answers to these
questions is no, then I would say that the risks you took were reasonable
in relation to the benefits you achieved. In that case, you do not need to
worry about me faxing anything to anybody.

Ever forward,

David
