Surely one percent of the adults in the United States are not prevented from joining Alcor or Cryonics Institute by financial, religious, or moral considerations or by a lack of desire to live a long time. That's two million people. If we could bring a monkey or dog back from a year in liquid nitrogen in good physical and physiological condition, the line to sign up would stretch from Arizona to Michigan. So let's put our money and effort into the laboratory. If you can't work on the physics and chemistry yourself, send a check to those who can. Contributions for research purposes are tax deductible.
