I appreciate poster #31529: "Climate change double-think X4 [oberon]", 
and I agree that global warming hysteria is catastrophic nonsense in 
the name of science flying in the face of all the real scientific 
evidence.  However, it is totally off topic except to remind us that, 
however good our efforts to explain the possibilities of future 
science, the vast majority of so-called educated people including 
agnostics, atheists, and skeptics are of one mind when it comes to the 
future. One way or another they believe that we are all going to hell 
in a handbasket. Global warming fits perfectly into this mind set and 
cryonics contradicts it.  That is always going to be a problem for us 
unless we are able to ally ourselves with a much larger group who 
actually believes in a positive human future.
