I informed a friend of mine who is a chaplain that some cryonicists were
quoting scripture in support of cryonics.  Here is his position on the
subject:

"I certainly think it is in YOUR best interest to have a link that says for
more on how various faith traditions weigh in click here and have radial
buttons that list the various religions and their views."

"Personally, I think you will [find] several progressive groups such as the
Unitarians who will be very favorable. I would think the Mary Baker Eddy,
Church of Christ Scientist would also be very open.  I mean, they buried
here in a casket with a telephone so if she wakes up and she can call and
tell somebody."

"I would go ahead and let the fundamentalist kooks lambast it.  I mean,
really, if some biblical-literalist says if you do this you will burn in
hell, what difference will that make?  The people who are pre-disposed to
cyronics will do what they want regardless of what some religious leader
says.  Also, if you are Southern Baptist or Pentecostal, you are not likely
to do it anyway if you are firm in your convictions.  On the other hand, if
you have someone who grew up in one of those traditions and no longer
practices that faith, he/she may read the writings and be reminded that is
why they no longer practice that tradition."

to read about it and make up their own minds."
