Finally, a bit of good press for cryonics. I was especially pleased that the article concluded with the fact that most people fund with life insurance. I am proud to have Richard Leis as a client, and appreciate his activism in the cryonics and transhuman communities. Good work, Richard! BTW, the low prevailing interest rates are impacting life insurance companies, especially the "guaranteed to age 120" rates. You are fine if you are already in place with coverages. But a number of companies have been raising their rates, especially for "permament, guaranteed to age 120" type coverage. And, the cryonics friendly carriers I primarily work with will no doubt be having rate changes as well in the next few months. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that insurance companies predicate rates on long term, safe investments, as as these rates go down, the premiums they must charge to meet their "reserve" requirements will increment up. If you are thinking of increasing or upgrading your cryonic, or your business or personal coverage, you would be well served to move forward on this now instead of waiting. Sorry if this sounds to commercial, but these are facts people should be advised of.
