It has been said of many religious cults that people join them and find "nice" people in them. Indeed the best advertisement for a religion is that someone who has joined it appears nicer to outsiders after being within it for a while. Outsiders will notice that, and a few may join the religion partly for that reason. Now I know that cryonics is not a religion, but a medical procedure, even if law doesn't recognise it as such. However people who sign up are often healthy yet they are motivated for similar reasons as those that seek religions -- comfort from the thought of ultimate obliteration. With cryonics, at least they have tried something more caring and positive than burning or rotting. The trouble is, that if they read cryonicists' "antics" at a time they are only vaguely interested, they could well move on. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more From: "gc" <> References: <> Subject: RE: Flav Date: Wed, 8 Apr 2009 08:17:58 -0500 > From: "FlavO Noid" <> ... >> Nice article!
