Its amazing how quick we take technology for granted and become petulant when it
doesn't work. Go back 10 years and think what you would have to do to get a 
radio broadcast from another continent. 


Probably the best way to play wma files is to get a media player that will 
accept them (such as some iRiver models, which also accept mp3 on the same 
machine) and then you can listen while doing something else. You are not tied to
a computer, whatever make. Mp3 files are good, but wma files are much smaller, 
and hence good for downloading when people are limited in bandwidth (or charged 
so much per Mb) 

Like it or not, Microsoft has a near monopoly. Live with it.
