Subject: SCI.CRYONICS Ice Man

The alpine "ice man" was not frozen to cryogenic temperatures, and
may have been repeatedly thawed and refrozen, so there's little wonder
that he's in bad shape. Of course he's in better shape than his
cohorts, all of whom are dust, or, at best, skeletons.

I saw a picture (in National Geographic?) of a body recovered from the
John Franklin Expedition which got lost in the Arctic 150 years ago.
The body looked in such good shape that if paramedics had unexpectedly
found it out of its archeological context, I'd bet they would have
tried CPR. (Of course it wouldn't have worked.)
