Yes. Being able to plan a suspension (death in popular language) presents a
great opportunity. One can wait until suspension personnel, equipment and
supplies are on hand before initiating the "Assisted Suicide.” This would
maximize your chances for an optimal suspension.



The downside of course, is a possible "death by cryonics” backlash from the
media. I could imagine stories to the effect that, "Mr. Smith only killed
himself because those evil Alcor/CI people told him he would live forever.”
