X-Message-Number: 31855 Date: Wed, 5 Aug 2009 18:55:49 -0400 Subject: thawing From: Charles Platt <> Freeposity says (s)he cannot find any evidence that cryonics patients were ever accidentally thawed in the 1990s. This is true; when CryoCare Foundation lost its capability to process new cases, the two existing patients were transferred without incident to Alcor, which accepted them because they had been sufficiently funded. The only documented instance of cryonics patients being allowed to thaw was at Chatsworth, California, many years previously. It is mentioned in the Wikipedia entry on cryonics.
