X-Message-Number: 3200 Date: 02 Oct 94 12:57:06 EDT From: John de Rivaz <> Subject: CRYONICS: Brain Backup Report I have received a number of long articles on the subject of brain backup, or uploading. As readers will know, this subject is a bit of an anathema to cryonicists, but as new people often "discover" it, I felt it worthwhile to collect these articles, which include responses from cryonicists, into a newsletter. The magazine is 34 pages long in its paper format, and the charter issue is free for the asking. Just email me your snail mail address and ask for "Brain Backup Report". As a zipped file, it is approximately 34k long, which costs a bit to mail via CompuServe. To transfer it between CompuServe and another system it would have to be sent as plain text or UUENCODED, which increases its length. If someone on Cryonet who is on Internet via a fixed charge provider and is not charged per 7k item for mailing would be willing to volunteer to receive a copy of the file and then distribute it on demand, then please email me and I will send a copy. I have also uploaded a copy to the CompuServe Cyber Forum in their "Building" library, as there is a discussion in their "Building" messages on a similar subject. At the time of writing, I don't know whether it has been accepted. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=3200
