To Mark Plus:

After reading Johnson's book, I made a statement that I believed everything in
it. I should have limited my remarks to Alcor. After reading some of Alcor's
case reports, hearing stories about a lot of their cases from people who were
there, and knowing the lack of qualifications of most of their "medical"
personnel, I think the incompetency and unethical behaviors are abundantly
evident.

While I have heard stories of many cryonicists being survivalists and keeping
supplies, I have never heard any accusations of Mr. Pizer or the Venturists
being associated with the activities in Johnson's book. In his defense, I seem
to recall being under the impression that he was repeating gossip he heard,
(from Kunzman, the author of "Mothermelters"), when I read that part. I think
Johnson was probably terrified, at the time he heard those stories, and that
might have made them more believable, to him.

My apologies to Mark and Mr. Pizer, if my statement seemed to indicate I
believed there was any sort of wrong-doing, on the part of the Venturists.

NO apologies to Alcor, as I feel their incompetence and unethical behavior is
more than evident, not only in their past reports, but in their responses to Mr.
Johnson's accusations. They are their own worst enemy. If their alleged
lawsuits against Johnson go to court, judging by the media blitz I've seen, I
have a feeling Johnson's publisher will be willing to fund a lot of medical and
ethics experts to review those case reports and Alcor's claims in their defense
statements, (like the one about a ball peen hammer with a wooden handle being a
"medical mallet").
