I have MANY books in my library on every subject from biomedical engineering to cryobiology (popular) some of which have WHOLE CHAPTERS on cryonics, some of which even say semi-positive, luke warm, favorable things about cryonics. Good heaven Ralph! What cave of a library do you go to :). And, if you want nasty asides about cryonics in books, even textbooks, I can provide some of those too. Jerry Leaf made a habit of collecting these things and he left his collection to me, plus the ones I already have. Academics have long commented on cryonics, hell Theodore Malinin M.D., even wrote a position paper editorial for the JAMA on it when I was teenager! (Please, don't ask me for the cite, I don't have it, but I remember vividly where I saw it first; in the reception room of my personal M.D.'s office. Indeed, sometime ago in MAN INTO SUPERMAN Bob Ettinger even had a whole section of quotes (and Bob's rebuttal) from famous critics like Asimov. Hayflick's book is no breakthrough, it is more of the same drivel I have seen in everything from encylopaedias to childrens' books to you name it, for nearly three decades! And, as to all the commentary about Hayflick's book on Cryonet, I thought Bob Ettinger did a fine job of skewering the a**hole. It should have been left at that. And that is where I leave it.
