While I was at Suspended Animation, one of the employees was allowed to bring her cat to the facility, every day. She even frequently left the cat alone at the facility, for a few hours, after everyone else had gone, and she went to some sort of class. She would remind us all to not turn on the alarm, if she left before us, because the cat was going to be there. In other words, the building was not protected, in favor of the cat being allowed to stay there. The cat was allowed to roam freely, throughout the facility, including the area where the standby kits were being assembled, the lab, and the "operating room." I liked the cat, and being the "new person" I didn't want to complain about it, at first. When I did get around to questioning having a cat in the facility, I was told, by the manager, that "cats are superior creatures." If there's not a cat freely roaming SA, now, it's probably only because I've complained about it, publicly, on several occasions. I have old emails to SA staff members, and old posts on my blog, in which I discussed this issue. If there is still a cat in the SA facility, maybe they will get rid of it, now.
