Fascinating...Mark...thanks for this reference to the 1969 book about the
conception of the future these folks had, clearly and explicitely defined in
this book.

Looking back from the perspective of almost 40 years, when the wonders these
authors write about have come true in parts but are so different than the
future they envisioned, I understand the cynicism engaged in by so many.

While the tech parts are almost eerily correct in this book, the human
nature parts are abysmally naive.

But, I think parts of their utopianism are justified.

We HAVE improved the human condition for the vast majority of folks on the
planet. Human ingenuity and scientific thinking have dramatically changed
the lifestyles of most humans...by in large, for the better, by most any
metric. Including THE metric that matters, happiness and fulfillment. IMO.

So, Mark, thanks for forwarding this link.

Now let's help create the Information Age utopia these authors envisioned...

For Centuries,

Rudi
