But the problem is that it's difficult to quantify or show evidence for something like this. (and Mike has every reason to disagree with David). It's the gut feeling that one has about others (in this case the average Joe, the media, legal system etc.). While people may not explicitly talk negatively about a neuro, I personally think a nero substantially adds up to the negative image of cryonics especially when there is a witch hunt. To summarize it's better to be safe than sorry. (of course there are all sort of other considerations like cost etc.) It must be noted that a neuro _may_ not substantially affect the number of signed up member of a cryonics organization. In fact it may do some good, by sieving out some of the less technically sound potential signees. I will just say, I need to see evidence before I could accept many of the conclusions he reaches. I think David is not the only Alcor person who "meets the public." ... _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9712959 --_a58245bf-040d-4709-a93b-c01861201fc1_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=32496
