I would largely agree with David Pizer. But the problem is that it's difficult 
to quantify or show evidence for something like this. (and Mike  has every 
reason to disagree with David). It's the gut feeling that one has about others 
(in this case the average Joe, the media, legal system etc.).  While people may 
not explicitly talk negatively about a neuro, I personally think a nero 
substantially adds up to the negative image of cryonics especially when there is
a witch hunt.


To summarize it's better to be safe than sorry. (of course there are all sort of
other considerations like cost etc.)


It must be noted that a neuro _may_ not substantially affect the number of 
signed up member of a cryonics organization. In fact it may do some good, by 
sieving out some of the less technically sound potential signees.

I don't think it's productive to try to answer David Pizer, #32480, 
point by point. I will just say, I need to see evidence before I 
could accept many of the conclusions he reaches. I think David is not
