Obviously, but what you wrote was essentially the same as what I had written
*with regard to the facts*. And as for my "Ponzi scheme statement", what I
said on that score was correct! I didn't say that what happened at CSC and
CSNY was a Ponzi scheme, I merely suggested that had promises of profit been
made to the customers, THEN the principals WOULD have been in violation of
the law and could have been prosecuted criminally for running a pyramid. In
a Ponzi scheme, the payoff is dependent on income from newer customers: both
CSC & CSNY were counting on that (Nelson & Kent have both admitted this in
published interviews: VMN & Cryonics). I DO think there is a moral
equivalence here. I don't see where I was in error on any facts, so maybe
you should go back and re-read my post. Where we do seem to disagree is that
you seem to think that it was reasonable that no one back then could have
predicted what was going to happen, whereas I think that any fool would have
seen it coming. If you're answering info requests at CryoCare, then you
might have noticed that even *totally new* people often ask "how will you
have the money to keep me frozen as long as it takes?"

To Perry Metzger:

As I already said on Monday, no discussion with you is possible since by your
own admission you don't want to have a dialogue. When you feel you can argue
the subject at hand without polluting the thread with ad hominem attacks,
I'll be more than happy to debate with you. In the meantime, maybe you should
take your drivel to cryonics.politics where it may be more appropriate.

Ever forward,

David
