Subject: The biggest victim of The Long Life Magazine, The Cryonics In...
From: Jonano <>

You have no right to publish personal and confidential data such as a
mental disease of a person without his agreement, you are a criminal.
I valuate my lost of about 30 000$ because of this article over the
years (6).

The article was assembled by John De Rivaz (some people say it's John
Bull now, will we know who did one day ? for sure ? It seems that
people are not jostling to author this work/article), who for the
reason of being "mentally cleaned by a cryonics organisation" put
together an article to create a sensation for his "institute", on the
back of a young ambitious, optimist, constructive open minded boy,
welcoming all friends.

The problem with this article is that people falsely accused Jonathan
(me) of all the problems in the cryonics industry at that time. To be
sure to understand this matter, the Cryonics Institute have a monopoly
on cryonics with Alcor and they want to keep it. Alcor does not
comment any legal matter in the public, something the Cryonics
Institute does (its magazine: Long Life).

If you would be this person who got accused and ridiculized in public,
would you love this place/situation?

The Long Life magazine with this article destroyed all my friendships
in this community with false accusations, destroyed my chance to
succeed in business, as well as a way to get a better job. In this
article some people (who wrote about me (?)) asked to be removed and
finally they got removed.

I asked many time, on a period of 5 years to remove this article, by
all means, they have no ethics, no heart, because they keep the
article even if they know it's making harm on a personal level.

It is hardly difficult to build a public image with this article on
internet when you type my name jonathan despres on google.

People who accused me, and who will remove the false claims and from
who I wait their excuses:

Jonathan Hinek (founder of Cryonics Cafe/Cold Filter one of the
biggest defamation hub against Alcor, Saul Kent (etc?), most notably),
Eugen Leitl (originator of this label), Bill Smith, Rudi Hoffman, and
the main man who assembled the article (the attack) and who didnot put
his name on the article: John De Rivaz (or John Bull, we dont know).

Some comments about the article itself:

1) Rudi Hoffman did want to join my conference, but after many
negatives comments on me, begun to lie on our relation.

2) I have no mental disease. I'm a normal introvert.

3) They have no permission to use my name.

More text:

Jonathan Despres is a well known 3 traps victim of cryonics. I suggest
some others have been victim of it too.

3 cryonics traps envisioned by Charles Platt:

Trap #1. "Our organization needs help. If you do your thing instead of
helping us, you will weaken us. If we collapse, you will have nothing.
Therefore, you should NOT COMPETE WITH US." I call this "The Whining
Monopoly Scenario" since the organization seeks to preserve a monopoly
of its market segment by whining about its delicate condition.

Trap #2. "Our organization cares for cryonics patients who must be
protected at all costs. If you criticize our organization or reveal
embarrassing facts, you will empower hostile legislators or others who
will try to shut us down. Therefore, you should say NOTHING NEGATIVE
ABOUT US." I call this "The Perpetual Hostage Scenario," since the
cryonics patients are serving exactly the same role as hostages.

Trap #3. "You'll be dead before you have time to build a new
organization to save yourself." I guess the only answer there would be
to establish your organization as a cult and surround yourself with
young acolytes.

Finally:

The Long life magazine did wrote a bad article.

They never had, or got my permission to use my name on their site and
to destroy my reputation. My battle to get removed this article did
made me sadness, frustration, and destroyed my reputation and is still
doing it.

I dont have any disease called Social Anxiety and I work every day of
the week. (as an internet marketer)

My reputation on Cryonet droped because of this article. I am not a
danger of cryonics (I am rather a victim).

If I have a chance to get enough money, I will sue the magazine and
ask to remove this article.

Recently, because of this paper, Rudi Hoffman et al, asked their
friends to block my account on Facebook, they would probably like to
see me dead too.
