Subject: Brain Damaged CryoNet

The ISP hosting cryonet.org got cranky and insisted that
CryoNet now use its new mailing list software rather than
its ancient mailing list software. (The new software has
better performance but is missing important features.)

I just created one of the new mailing lists and called it
BDCryoNet (Brain Damaged CryoNet). ** The next digest
(Tuesday. Aug. 31, 2010) will use the new software.

Due to some hacks I made, the posting address will remain:

and the subscription/unsubscription address will remain:

but the postings will be sent via:

rather than:

The digests will be sent with the "Reply-To" set to
"", so a simple "Reply" to a digest
should send your message to the right place. (If you
send your message to "", it will be
just discarded automatically, so you don't want to do that.)

Hopefully, if you don't look closely, you won't notice
that anything changed at all. Behind the scenes, the
administration will be messy, since it requires
synchronizing two mailing lists, but this should enable
CryoNet (BDCryoNet) to limp along pending a better solution.

By the way, I have not forgotten message # 32489 (CryoNet Reboot).
While that effort has been educational, progress has been
remarkably slow, and I now see that the ISP has added some
complications for my proposed API and email services. :-(

(Please include "CryoNet" or "cryonics" in the subject line.)

** Perhaps when I feel more charitable, "BDCryoNet" will mean
something more benign. But right now, all I can think of is
Brain Damaged, Barely Decent, and Big Doofus.
