X-Message-Number: 32827 Date: Tue, 07 Sep 2010 11:51:40 -0400 From: Subject: Cryonics Institute Annual General Meeting (AGM) The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Cryonics Institute will be held Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 2pm at the main facility, 24355 Sorrentino Court, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. The AGM of the Immortalist Society will immediately follow the AGM of CI on the same Sunday. Meetings generally last most of the afternoon. Results of the Directors elections will be announced, and there will be reports on the status and activity of CI over the past year. Meetings offer a great opportunity to see the facility, to meet other members, to get a sense of the status of the Cryonics Institute and to see Officers, Directors & Staff. There is a free, tasty buffet dinner available for Members and guests. Although all are welcome, we wish to be notified in advance of those who intend to come so that we can plan accordingly for the total number of people. Aschwin and Chana de Wolf will attend this year to report on some of the excellent research they have done in the last year. Shy, self-effacing Rudi Hoffman will be coming up from Florida for the event. Rudi and the de Wolf's will be staying in the Red Roof Inn, across the street from the Super 8, which is also a popular budget place to stay during the meeting. A contingent of CI Members is driving down from Toronto, Canada for the day. Nick Pavlica will be demonstrating the latest iteration of his bed-alarm system. There will be a 6pm Saturday dinner (not gratis, you pay) at a local restaurant (same one used in recent years) for those who come early and want more opportunity to socialize.
