Since this message requires a very political reply from me, I will
reply with a short message here. A much longer message is in
CRYONICS.POLITICS

>Did Alcor sell, loan or donate its member mailing list to CryoCare or any
>of the other recently formed organizations?

Alcor has not and does not sell, loan, or donate its member mailing
list to ANY other organization, including rival cryonics organizations.
If your name is on the CryoCare mailing list, it did not get there from
us. Some possible sources are discussed in the longer message.

Use of Alcor's mailing list information for any other use than
approved by Alcor would be both illegal and immoral.

If CryoCare has received a complete or partial Alcor mailing list
from some source, it would be most unfortunate. Our members would then
have no way of knowing who else now has access to their personal
information.

>I'm not in the phone book; to find me, someone has to know a friend, do a

We have received a growing number of complaints from members that
they are receiving unsolicited CryoCare solicitations. We suggest that
anyone receiving such information who has not requested it simply inform a
CryoCare officer (several are on CryoNet) that you wish your name to be
removed from the CryoCare list.

>ALCOR online representative: What is Alcor's privacy policy regarding its
>lists of members, potential members, etc.?

It is Alcor's policy now, and has been for many years, that we respect our
members' privacy absolutely. Should we incur liability as a result of any
CryoCare mailings, we will have no choice but to pass on that liability.

>creepy) CryoCare marketing campaign.
