Well, back in 1993 this is what Bill Gates had to say about Eric Drexler's book "Engines of Creation" which had quite a lot about Cryonics as well as Nanotechnology in it: "Incredible book! Incredible book! It's about how the information revolution and biotechnology in combination are just part of a trend, and he extrapolates that trend somewhat in a very plausible way over the next fifty to a hundred years."
