Reply to Steve Bridge:

Thank you for giving me the perspective of another Alcor member. I still
maintain my two fundamental points:

(1) Art Quaife implied that Alcor's performing a neuropreservation on
Dora Kent was the cause of the media attention. I see this as a
"blame the victim" attitude. It's made even worse by the fact
that Trans Time will undoubtably profit from Alcor's hard-won
    court battles.

(2) If you (Steve) use a network to promote Alcor, you're inviting
people to become members of an organization that is not run for
profit. If Art Quaife promotes Trans Time this way, he's
advertising for a corporation. Color me ignorant, but I can't
believe it's kosher to use a publically-supported medium to sell
your wares, be they cryonics or cat food. If we're going to
    maintain the for-profit/not-for-profit distinction, everyone
is going to have to play fair.
