That link should have been

http://www.imminst.org/Research2010B

As Shannon mentioned,

The link states: "Any donation, of any amount is
appreciated. We need at least $16.000 to get going,
with the matched funding in place that means at
least $8000 from donors like you. Any surplus
would go into the next scientific research
initiative that is already in the pipeline."

I am told that the next scientific initiative
that is in the pipeline will be a project for
Aschwin and Chana de Wolf to study reperfusion
injury that I wrote. It has been known for a
long time that after a certain period of time
reperfusion is harmful rather than beneficial,
but it is not known how long that time is. For
cryonics purposes it would be good to know how
long after circulation stops it is beneficial
rather than harmful to do a blood washout. The
effect of temperature would be investigated,
and hopefully the experimental results could
be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

I hope that the life-extension community
(including the cryonics community) can finish
funding the brain microglia regeneration/rejuvenation
project and follow this with successful funding
of the cryonics reperfusion injury project.
