Subject: Terasem

Martine Rothblatt was kind enough to reply to my questions about Terasem,
but the reply was not very responsive or enlightening.

I would still like to know how many people are members or actively

involved, and what has been the growth rate. I still find it troubling that
they
repeat the mistakes I made with Man into Superman in 1972. The main lesson
is that, by and large, people do not want radical change, especially in
themselves. They find a future of radical change to be a threat, not a
promise.

Martine herself and Terasem promote cryonics, and I believe she has donated
generously to Alcor. That's fine, but how much is wasted effort or
counterproductive? How much more could be done with a realistic stance?
