X-Message-Number: 3452 Date: Thu, 8 Dec 94 20:01 EST From: David Brandt-Erichsen <> Subject: CRYONICS Oregon law update Implementation of the Oregon Death with Dignity Act (Prop 16), scheduled to go into effect today (December 8) has been delayed for 12 days due to a lawsuit. The judge (who is a conservative Catholic) will make a ruling on December 17th. The State's position is that ther is no basis for challenging the law. Two countersuits have been filed by the ACLU and by Oregon Death with Dignity. I have no further details at this time. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=3452
